Kilrush Church of Ireland cemetery

Post by gerardr » Sun Oct 06, 2024 7:45 pm

I am researching burials of numerous ancestors in Kilrush. Would anyone in the forum know if there are existing records of burials in Kilrush Church of Ireland cemetery. I have access to the transcribed graveyard inscriptions on the Clare County Library genealogy page which was complied 35/40 years ago. Do the original burial records exist anywhere? Are there any transcriptions of the original records available?

Specifically, I am looking for the burial of Michael Shannon, who died 11 December 1944 and his wife Bridget Shannon (formerly O'Brien), who died 10 April 1932, and children of theirs who died young in 1888, 1898, 1902, and possibly grandchildren who died young in the 1940's. Any generation before that would be a bonus.
